relief sculpture

Artist Statement:

The subject of this artwork is a busk of myself. The material I used was wire. I chose this design because I wanted to do something and use materials that I had never used before. The elements of art that I used were shape and form. The composition rule that I used was in the round. The principals of design I used were proportion and scale. The meaning behind this sculpture is that just like the wire our bodies and minds are malleable and we are able to change to our surrounding and our experiences. This project relates to my life because I like trying new thing and experimenting with new materials. If I could change anything I would add more hair and more shape to the nose.
