Cloning and Overlays
The subject of these photographs are photoshopped images of a sculpture at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and a montage of botanical images around my friend Julia. The materials I used were my Canon rebel camera and photoshop editor. I chose to create these photographs because I liked the bright colors in the photos that I montaged together in the second image and I liked the intricate pattern created in the first image. The elements of art that I used were color and texture. The principals of design that I used were pattern and rhythm/ movement. The composition rules/ techniques that I used were informal balance for the first image and formal balance for the second image. This project relates to my life because a lot of my work involves the use of nature to portray emotions. If I could change anything about the images I created I would incorporate more detail into the first image.
