Ella Dueck

Ella Dueck is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from the Hudson Valley, New York. Learning the piano at an early age, her love and passion for music grew as she began exploring other instruments such as clarinet, bass, and guitar. Through her involvement in bands and orchestras at the local and state level, Ella's musical palette expanded, allowing her to explore different genres and styles. Ella always viewed music as a language; a way to tell stories and convey emotions that words alone could not express. Inspired by this realization, she began composing on the piano at a young age, using melodies and harmonies to create captivating musical narratives. She found joy in the art of storytelling and the power it held to captivate an audience. After scoring a video game trailer for an esports class, she was given the opportunity to compose and conduct for her high school's wind ensemble, while collaborating with other students and artists. Now, as an undergraduate student at NYU in the Screen Scoring program, Ella is excited to continue her musical journey. She looks forward to collaborating with and learning from other talented artists and filmmakers, as she pursues her studies in music composition.
