Kevin is a media composer who craft’s his music using an array of instruments to convey the perfect mix of human emotions. His music has been defined as “skillfully composed, with a clear and organized structure, along with beautiful themes”. Kevin’s music style and sound is bittersweet, often stoic, multilayered, and always emotionally rich. 


Based in New York City, Kevin Leysath II (b. 2001) is a composer, saxophonist and conductor from Rochester, NY where he has been immersed in music his whole life. Kevin completed his undergrad in Music Composition at the Nazareth College where he was awarded the Instrumental Conducting award and the Music Composition award. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt. His composition training throughout the years has been led by composers Octavio Vazquez, Diana Rosenblum, Alba Torremocha and now Shruti Kumar.


He has written music for directors from NYU Tisch, Carter school of Journalism, Ithaca College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Temple University, Montclair State and Columbia University. Selected to be among the 5 composers out of 115 composers that applied to participate in the 2024 ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, under guidance of Alex Steyermark, Kevin had the chance to score and collaborate with director Chad B. Hamilton on his film, Way Back Home. The workshop culminated with the score being professionally recorded and mixed at Power Station Studios x Berklee, where Kevin led the professional musicians to bring the music to life for the film.
