Charlotte Bauer

Charlotte Bauer is a film and media composer from Missouri.  Her musical journey began when she started piano lessons in kindergarten, as well as singing in numerous choir and musical theater performances.  She began writing her own pieces on the piano in elementary school, but when the pandemic started, she started to focus on cinematic compositions.  The freedom of writing for visual media has given Charlotte the opportunity to write for acoustic and electronic instrumentation, as well as experimenting in several genres, such as classical, jazz, and contemporary.  

During her last two years of high school, she was involved in both her school’s broadcast journalism and IB film programs, writing music for projects in those respective programs.  She has also showcased her music on a larger level, participating in NYU’s film scoring summer camp, as well as being awarded in competitions at the state and national level.  She is beginning a new chapter in her composition journey as a part of New York University’s class of 2027, majoring in music theory and composition with a concentration in screen scoring.
