Euijae Kim

Euijae Kim is a creative and versatile composer/storyteller based in New York, who writes music for film, TV, and visual media. She is completing her Master’s in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt.

Trained on piano and violin, she has deep classical roots. Her signature style lies in combining orchestral sound with contemporary soundscapes to create unique worlds of sound. She draws inspiration from jazz, classical, and pop, bringing a modern sensibility to each while simultaneously tearing down the walls between them.

She has written concert music for orchestras, chamber ensembles, choirs, voice and piano concertos. Her recent works include Élan Vital (2020) for String Quartet, Nattevandreren (2020) for Orchestra, Sensation (2019) for Voice and Piano, Floating Thoughts (2019) for Piano, and Tableaux (2019), 4 pieces for Brass Quintet. She has collaborated with filmmakers, animators, game developers, and musicians in New York. Euijae’s recent scores include Devilish Pest (2023), and Remembrance (2023). Her music for video games includes Sled and Hollow Dice
