Kristen Jung

Kristin Jung is a versatile composer born in Maryland. She grew up in South Korea and played an integral role in her high school’s music program by becoming one of the first student composers to produce original soundtracks for school musicals and compose pieces for orchestra and choir which were performed in school’s major ceremonies. Her compositions and arrangements are well inspired by her experience in playing the piano, violin, and oboe in various ensembles. 

Soundtracks from Hollywood animations attracted her to the world of music for visual media, and screen scoring expanded her musical style from acoustic to electronic and hybrid. By enrolling in the Screen Scoring program at NYU, she has collaborated with film directors inside and outside of school and is looking forward to collaborating more with the music industry and inspiring the hearts of the public.
