Joseph Lim

"Chaemin “Joseph” Lim is a NYC-based student composer, orchestrator, and arranger. His music spans many influences, from classic musical show tunes to 8-bit 5-channel video game music to the Hollywood Golden-age studio orchestras of MGM and Warner Bros. and everything in between. Nonetheless, a personal “eccentricity” could be heard in his compositions. His hope is to be proficient at scoring in multiple “genres,” and studies diligently to do so. 

He has collaborated with several other student directors and musicians in the past. His previous body of work includes composing video game tracks, arranging video game music for big band, and composing for short films. He also enjoys composing musicals. 

Currently, he is an undergraduate student studying Theory and Composition with a concentration in Screen Scoring at NYU.
