Sharon began formal piano and music education at Yamaha Music Education schools at age six. She was selected to participate in Yamaha’s International Junior Original Concert Program for six years running, and obtained Yamaha teacher training certification by age 13. She then attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she won its 2014 and 2015 Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Music – Piano, and its 2016 Award for Music Composition. At The Colburn School of Performing Arts, in the fall of 2015, she became the first pre-college student in the history of the Colburn School permitted to participate in a Conservatory Division class, and was the Student Speaker at CSPA’s 2016 Commencement Ceremony.

Sharon has been a Composer Fellow of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 2013, studying under Andrew Norman. She wrote two pieces for full orchestra, which premiered in 2014 and 2015 at Disney Concert Hall. Additionally, she was commissioned to compose a wind quartet for the International Contemporary Ensemble, which had its World Premiere in 2016 at the Ojai Music Festival under Music Director, Peter Sellars.

Now 24 years old, Sharon has attained her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, where she studied with composer Georg Friedrich Haas. Upon graduation she was one of two recipients of Columbia’s Charles S. Miller Award. She is currently in the process of completing her Masters at New York University’s Screen Scoring Program. In 2023, she was commissioned to write music for the world’s first AI Generated Anime, running 24/7 on Twitch under the channel name “Always Break Time”. She is also currently the team composer and lead musician for WarriorCats based video game Lake Territory: Reborn.
