Jiaqi Hu is a film composer, orchestrator, arranger, and pianist based in Shanghai, China. With a distinctive voice and a deep sensitivity to storytelling, she composes across a wide spectrum of musical styles—including classical, fantasy, orchestral, contemporary, pop, jazz, and various forms of world and cultural music—seamlessly blending genres to serve each narrative with emotional authenticity and nuance.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Film and Media Scoring from Berklee College of Music, where she studied under acclaimed mentors such as Claudio Ragazzi, Andreas Bjørck, Eric Reasoner, and Dario Eskenazi. During her time at Berklee, she developed a strong foundation in both the creative and technical dimensions of scoring for visual media.
Jiaqi is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Screen Scoring at New York University, continuing to refine her artistic voice while collaborating on projects across film, television, and multimedia platforms.
