Peter Hinckley

Peter Hinckley is a composer and instrumentalist from McLean, Virginia. He has a background in piano and trumpet, experience with music software such as Sibelius and ProTools, as well as an understanding of an assortment of genres, most notably classical, jazz, and orchestral music. While he has taken piano and trumpet lessons for most of his life, Peter is a primarily self-taught composer. He has won various music awards, recently the John Philip Sousa Award and Jo Lombard Award for Music Composition. Peter is currently enrolled to study screen scoring at NYU in the fall, and looks forward to use his music composition skills to work with filmmakers and the creators of all types of media.
