Davis Luengthada

Davis Luengthada is a classical and multimedia composer born in Bangkok, Thailand. After moving to New York City at a young age, he started his music career at the age of eight in the Very Young Composers Program of the New York Philharmonic. Davis has worked extensively with the New York Philharmonic’s Very Young Composers Program as a student, intern, and teaching assistant and has also participated in the Atlantic Music Festival Composition Program. 


Davis’s compositions have been performed by members of the New York Philharmonic and by professional ensembles such as The Cassatt Quartet and O’Kwarteto. They have been played at Very Young Composers Showcases at Lincoln Center as well as broadcast on WQXR. He is an avid collaborator and has created soundscapes for Guggenheim Museum Teen events and scored podcasts, student films, and theatre productions. 


Davis is the winner of the inaugural 2023 BMI Foundation Kavi Ohri Memorial Scholarship and was a finalist in the 2022 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Competition. He will be attending New York University, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Screen Scoring.
