Adam Azrieli (b. 2006) is a composer, percussionist, and conductor from Columbia, Maryland. Adam began with music on percussion where he has since reached heights such as principal percussionist in the Maryland All-State Orchestra. His percussive drive led him to find additional musical outlets, first the piano, and then composition and conducting. Adam has written for almost every kind of ensemble his high school currently offers, routinely rehearsing and conducting, bringing the same creative energy and life to the collaborative process that he does to writing.

Adam has studied composition and theory with Dr. Thomas Benjamin, retired Peabody Professor and Chair of Music Theory, as well as Alfred Music composer Adrian B. Sims. His biggest propulsion is learning; every project is a chance to learn, and in his pursuit at the NYU Steinhardt School, he hopes to find the gifted collaborators of all mediums and backgrounds with whom he can extend his experience and energy as well as soak up the expertise of those collaborators.
