Jiarui Yang

JIARUI YANG is a composer, singer, oboe player and guitarist born in Gansu Province, China. She started to write music in different genres and styles since a very young age. Her compositions include but not limited to orchestral works, chamber music, piano pieces, pop songs, rock music, musicals, ballads and Chinese folk music. In 2023, she graduated from Tianjin Conservatory of Music as a music performance student. 

By far, JIARUI has composed for a number of concerts and is now working on Chinese musical "Xun Yi Lu ( Finding Her)", which is expected to be staged in 2025. She is expert in writing story-telling pieces with beautiful melodies and her music always leave deep impression on audiences.

Currently, in aims of achieving her dream to be a visual media composer and broadening her composing career, JIARUI is pursuing her Master of Music degree in screen scoring program at New York University Steinhardt. She is prepared and delighted to engage in collaboration with filmmakers and other composers.
