Originally from Lake Placid, NY, Georgianna Rickard is a film and video game composer. She is also a private music educator and freelance musician.

From a young age, Georgie was always immersed in music - from orchestral to rock and pop. She studied piano, violin, and clarinet intensely from a young age and attended summer festivals to enhance her studies. Her love for composing followed as she composed piano pieces throughout her life. With her love of film and video games combined, she has decided to make this a career, blending her classical background with the experimentation of other styles to create stories worth telling.

Georgie’s recent projects have included collaborating with multiple filmmakers, including those from NYU Tisch in film, animation, and TV series projects. She has also composed music for game jams. Past projects include producing lobby music for the off-Broadway show, “Romeo and Bernadette” (2022), performing her piano works at various venues, including The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, and arranging string quartets and piano music for music studio concerts.

Georgie has recently obtained professional certificates from Berklee College of Music’s online program in Composing and Orchestrating for Film and TV, and Game Audio Design and Production where she studied under the instruction of Ben Newhouse, Gina Zdanowicz, George Oldziey, and Jeff Penny. She has also studied with Manuele Carli Ballola and Skye Hamilton-Carranza. She holds a Bachelor of Music from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in Piano Performance and Music Business.

Georgie has lived in NYC for 6 years and resides in Astoria, Queens. She is currently obtaining her M.M. in Screen Scoring at New York University and is mentored by Greg Pliska and John Kaefer.

Georgie is always excited to meet new people and create music for any project that comes her way - any musical requests are welcome!
