Isabella Bonzani is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Fairfield, CA. She has earned a B.M in Music Industry Performance from Loyola University, New Orleans with concentrations in classical clarinet and jazz saxophone. She has studied under such industry professionals as Khari Allen Lee, Jay Weigel, and Wess “Warm Daddy” Anderson. During her time at Loyola, she also worked as CEO for NOLA Sound, a live sound company based in New Orleans. She was encouraged to pursue a career in film scoring by industry professional Christopher Young after hearing her rescore of a scene from “The Ring.” She then began studying with Jay Weigel, focusing on 20th century compositional styles and music for visual media.

Isabella has always had a deep passion for film, often watching movies and studying film history in her free time. She was heavily inspired by Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and Thomas Newman growing up, leading to her love of scores consisting of synth and atmospheric elements. She explores unconventional methods of composing to create music with unique instrumentation and sound design.  Due to the influence of Christopher Young, through his music and mentorship, she found a passion for writing horror music. While she also enjoys writing with classical and jazz elements, her niche is writing with electronic instruments and using traditional instruments in unconventional ways. She is constantly experimenting, finding new ways to evoke certain emotions from her listeners.

Currently, Isabella has scored three student films with one being accepted into the Latino Film Market in New York (El Dílema Artístíco, by Michael Lardizabal). She is currently working on an independent project in L.A titled “Rosabelle, Believe,” allowing her to focus on her love of suspense and thrillers.
