Hello, thanks for being here! My name is Jeremy Chontow and I've been scoring for various media since 2015. I grew up in Northern Virginia, just an hour from D.C, where I taught myself piano and composition. A year later, I was studying composition at Shenandoah University. There, I had the opportunity to write for professional chamber ensembles like Roomful of Teeth, Nordic Affect, and Sybarite5. While the insight of concert composition I gained was plentiful, the love I had for screen scoring was still there. With the help of some day jobs, I moved to Washington State (as close to LA as I could afford at the time) to begin a freelance career in media composition after graduation.

In the year I spent in Bellingham, WA, I developed a portfolio of works and credits that got me accepted to NYU for my masters degree. Since I've been back on the east coast, I've professionally composed and engraved for short films, TV, and trailers, finding strengths in production music and orchestration within Logic Pro and Cubase. Currently, I'm working with multiple studios to compose original music that will be licensed to shows streaming on cable TV and services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Paramount+, etc.
