Gabriel De Guzman
Gabriel De Guzman is a Filipino-American composer that explores the range of creativity for music while combining a mix of contemporary-modern techniques and emotional, programmatic story-telling. Gabe composes music for large and small ensemble groups, solo performances and for films/media. His pieces are typically written based on significant life events, daily experiences, stories and folk-lore and fun ideas. His works have been performed by a roster of ensembles and musicians including: The Hausmann Quartet, SDSU Bands and Orchestras, San Diego New Music, SDSU Chamber Groups and Gulf Coast Chamber Ensembles.
Gabe graduated with his Bachelor’s in Global Composition from San Diego State University in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt.
