October 6th, 2025 Week #9
"My Friends"
This week we will learn with a thematic focus of "friends". We will discuss how friends are alike and how they are different. Students will learn how to make and, best of all, how to keep friends.
Friends are classmates, family members, neighbors, and pets that you enjoy being around.
Being loyal means to keep promises and do what you say.
Friends can communicate in many ways even if they live far apart.
"On The Farm"
We will pretend that we are on a farm for many of our lessons this week. We will enjoy learning many aspects of a farm. Students will enjoy various books read aloud with a "farm" theme.

Please remember ...
Your child needs the following items sent in their backpack, every day:
*a change of clothes in a ziploc bag
*a water bottle that they can manage without spilling
* label water bottle, backpack and lunchbox
*2 healthy snack items (no items that require utensils, please)
*Please send one water/drink for lunch to stay in the lunchbox and another water bottle for snack
Dismissal Reminder:
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify your teacher and the office with an email by at least 2:00 p.m. Please EMAIL your teacher, paola.cervantes@gcisd.net AND sierra.salter@gcisd.net.
