Reminders
We loved seeing all of our Tigers showing off their hard work on Thursday night at Open House! If you missed it, please click your child's teacher's name to view our Community Helper presentations.
Thank you for your continuous support of First Grade and O.C. Taylor!
Say, "Cheese!" Tuesday, March 10th, is Spring Picture Day! Glamourcraft will be taking individual and class photos. We cannot wait to see those big smiles on our Tigers!
Cold/Flu Season
As cold/flu season continues, please remember that students must be fever free (without medication) and symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school. Staying home allows children to get rest, no longer be contagious, and helps prevent other children from getting sick. Thank you for your help in keeping all of our tigers healthy!

Jackets/Clothing
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside play. We go to recess at 12:25 pm. Temperatures can still be pretty chilly at that time. Please label your child's sweatshirts and jackets with his/her first and last name. That way we can make sure it is returned to him or her if it gets misplaced. Thanks!
Weekly Library Schedule
Students will check out a new book from the library weekly as long as they return their old books. Please help your child remember to put library books back in his/her backpack after reading them at home. This will help ensure that your child gets to check out a new book at the library every time!
Ms. Shiles - Monday
Ms. Hilcher - Tuesday
Mrs. Duncan - Wednesday
Ms. Welch - Tuesday*
Student Absences and Ride Changes
Please email your homeroom teacher and copy Sierra Salter, sierra.salter@gcisd.net as well as Paola Cervantes, paola.cervantes@gcisd.net any time your Tiger will be absent.
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned or is leaving early, please email your child's teacher, Ms. Paola, and Ms. Sierra by at least 2:00 pm.
HMH Into Reading myBook
Students have completed the first three HMH Into Reading myBooks. Your child does not need to finish any of the activities inside the books at home. Please have your child remove these books his/her backpack as they come home, so that his/her backpack does not get too heavy. Your child can keep these books forever at home or recycle them, if you prefer. Thank you!
