"Community Workers"
This week we will learn with a thematic focus of "Community Workers".
A community is a group of people living in the same place.
Community workers keep people safe, healthy, and in touch with one another.
Community workers use tools to do their jobs.
A neighborhood is a place where people live.

October 14 - Fall Picture Day
October 17 - Run Club
October 27-31 - Book Fair/Red Ribbon Week!
Monday - Wear tie-dye!
Tuesday - Wear neon or bright colors!
Wednesday - Wear pajamas!
Thursday - Wear your favorite sports team gear or school spirit wear!
Friday - Dress as your favorite book character!
October 28 - Trunk or Treat! 6:00-8:00pm
October 31 - Book Character Parade
Classroom Request
It is the time of year when illness abounds! Please consider making a donation to help keep us all as healthy as possible. PreK needs sanitizing wipes and spray! Thank you for your consideration!

Numerals are composed of symbols called digits 0-9.
Numerals are ordered in predictable sequence 0-9.
Ordinal numbers describe the place in a sequence (first, second, third).
The numerals on a horizontal number line are read left to right.

Appropriate responses to social situations
STORYBOOK CHARACTER DAY!
Friday, OCTOBER 31
Students are invited to come dressed as their favorite storybook character while holding a copy of their favorite book! We will display our book character costumes in a parade on the morning of Friday, October 31!

Please remember ...
Your child needs the following items sent in their backpack, every day:
*a change of clothes in a ziploc bag
*a water bottle that they can manage without spilling
* label water bottle, backpack and lunchbox
*2 healthy snack items (no items that require utensils, please)
*Please send one water/drink for lunch to stay in the lunchbox and another water bottle for snack
Dismissal Reminder:
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify your teacher and the office with an email by at least 2:00 p.m. Please EMAIL your teacher, paola.cervantes@gcisd.net AND sierra.salter@gcisd.net.
