Welcome Back! Hope you all had a wonderful break. The students will be working on an PEMDAS Art Project this week. We will start the next unit next week. It will be Unit 7 that covers "Graphing and Number Patterns". In this unit, they learn how to plot on a coordinate grid and identify patterns in tables and transfer those patterns on to a coordinate grid.
Homework
The students will not have any homework this week. We will resume next week.

I hope you all had a wonderful winter break, and I'm looking forward to seeing your faces!
In science this week, we will start our unit on the Earth's processes and cycles. We will talk about the water cycle, and how water moves around Earth in different forms. We will also be discussing sedimentary rock, how they form, and how they relate to fossil fuels.
In social studies we will be moving on from the founding of the United States, into the time period of expansion. We will cover the Louisiana Purchase, and industrialization.

We are continuing to use the dismissal procedure called SafeID. This system is more streamlined and much safer for dismissal times. If your child's form of transportation home changes, PLEASE let the front office know by calling or emailing sierra.salter@gcisd.net and paola.cervantes@gcisd.net as quickly as possible and before 2:00.

Chromebooks
Please have your child charge their chromebook each evening and bring it to school along with the charger and headphones.
