At Effect Exercise Physiology, we pride ourselves on making every client feel welcome—and that starts with a warm greeting the moment they walk through the door.
Why it matters:
Greeting someone by name is personal and shows that we value them. It helps build strong client relationships and creates a friendly, professional environment.
As an admin, your role is essential.
It’s your job to greet every person who enters the clinic—with a smile and by name whenever possible.
Check the schedule to see who is due to arrive at that time.
When you see someone enter, greet them cheerfully and by name if you know it.
Example: “Hi Sarah! Great to see you.”
If you're unsure of their name, that's okay—still offer a warm greeting.
Example: “Hi there! Welcome in.”
Engage in light small talk to help clients feel comfortable.
“How’s your day going?” or “Did you manage to stay warm out there?”
Pay attention to booking times and faces.
Listen to how clinicians refer to clients.
Greet everyone, every time—they’ll remember how you made them feel.
We are in the business of helping people—and that includes how we make them feel when they visit. A simple, kind, and enthusiastic greeting sets the tone for a positive experience.
