What is a Medicare EPC?
Medicare EPC stands for "Medicare Enhanced Primary Care plan". Each calendar year (Jan 1st to Dec 31st) eligible clients have access to 5 Medicare rebates. They are required to pay the full payment and will receive the rebate back into their nominated bank account with Medicare.
How to Upload a Medicare EPC
Have the EPC Document information available. See Example Below
Open client's profile > On the side bar:
Open Cases
Add case.
Enter in the following details
Case name: EPC
Type: Maximum appointments - Enter in a number from 1-5.
Referral?: Yes
Referring doctor: enter GP's name from EPC NOTE: do not put "Dr" as you will be unable to find the GP's name
Issue date: enter date from EPC
DO NOT tick any of the boxes next to future appointments as this will create issues in future (refer to video for more context)
Create Case
Open Client details
Edit
Scroll to Medicare number: enter number from EPC
Medicare reference number: enter ref number from EPC NOTE: if they do not have a ref number stated, enter 1 and Medicare will flag the incorrect number when processing and provide you with the correct ref number
