We speak very politely using a person's name, 'please' and 'thank you' at the very least.
We greet and farewell everyone by name, with eye contact and a friendly gesture.
We use positive language and conversation.
We tell the truth.
When we talk about a person who is not present, we use their name in each sentence as we refer to them.
If we have a problem with someone, we talk about the problem in private and only with them.
If someone is upset by our actions, we apologise and make restitution immediately.
We blame the system, not the person.
We value a safe, nurturing environment where things can be said and nothing ‘sticks’.
We value ideas, and insist on three beneficial reasons for an idea before expressing any reservation to it.
