Leave is to be requested well in advance where possible - exceptional circumstances will always be considered appropriately and is to be made using the leave request feature on Quickbooks Payroll (see video here)
Remember! We do close the clinic for around 5-7days at Christmas time. It is required that your save some of your accrued leave for this time period
Leave will be approved on a first come, first served basis. For example. If another team member has leave on the same dates already approved your leave will not be approved
One practitioner is able to take leave at any one time (as this helps allow for sustainable clinic coverage).
Annual leave request is to be approved by the Practice Manager for approval before you should book anything (ie. Booking flights or accomodation). Pre booking before leave is approved will not improve likelihood of your request being approved.
Leave will be approved/denied within 24-48 hrs of request being made.
The best interest of the clinic and the best interest of the team member will always be the primary considerations when leave is being considered. We aim to be as flexible as possible, however request that you consider the clinic and your team members when requesting leave.
Please consider these things yourself when you are requesting leave - as a small team it is vitally important that we conduct ourselves cohesively in this way.
