A management plan if a form of treatment planning that is done collaboratively with a client during their initial consultation. Management plans are important to
Demonstrate that we understand their problem, driving factors and how this problem affects them (physically and mentally)
Create a goal that is meaningful, in a clear and objective way. Written by either yourself or client
Show a clear plan and pathway towards the outcome they are looking to achieve
Learn their understanding or "takeaway" from their consultation with us to see if we met expectations and/or delivered the right advice.
This can take 5-15min depending on the client and discussion around their goals.

Examples below show how we can involve the client as much as possible, however also providing direction. Most plans will look very different based on the client's communication and preferences
Broadly written, using clients own language
client centred goals, with some detail and timeframes
plan and expectations for review
client's personal takeaway or "signature" on plan
Clearly written by practitioner
clear goal objective and timeframes
succinct plan
clear meaning to why their problem is there and how it affects them
Client written goal
clear plan and review
The very first follow up?
"Do you remember the goal we had set in your first consult? Is that still what you would like to focus on?"
Upon review of progress measures
around expected or written timeframes
