Adding Period Activity Pay (PAP) to current Faculty (overloads) or Adjunct (PAP) Employees
If they are a New Hire or not currently in your Organization, you will need to complete the New Hire Request Form and submit to HR
Search the person you want to give PAP to.
Click on the Action button under the name.
Click on Compensation and then on Manage Period Activity Pay Assignments
A Manage Period Activity Pay Assignments Page will pop up
Fill in the Academic Period from the drop-down menu and the Period Activity Rate Matrix will auto populate.
Reason for PAP -
Period Activity > A- Add Activity pay (use with new hire or new assignment)
Period Activity > B- Adjust Activity Pay (use to adjust current PAP. For example, to prorate the salary of PAP due to student enrollment)
Period Activity > C- End Activity pay with ending Job (use when job is ending, either to finish making payments or forfeit additional payments)
Activity* -
Adjunct (for all Part-time Faculty)
Overload (only for existing Full-time Faculty)
Comment
enter the CRN or Course identifying information.
Activity Dates
time frame for teaching the course (based off of the semester)
Compensation
enter the total amount to be paid for this activity.
Payments
enter the dates to be paid for this activity. The Activity pay for the Spring semester is paid Feb-May and Fall semester is Sept.-Dec.
If there are costing overrides that need to be entered click on the “0” under “Compensation”
