1 Click the "Search" field and enter the name of the employee
2 Click "Actions"
3 Click "Job Change"
4 Click "Terminate Employee"
5 Select the "Primary Reason" field and enter the reason for the employee's resignation.
6 Click here to enter the "Termination Date"
7 Click here to enter the "Last Day of Work"
8 Click here to enter the "Pay Through Date"
9 Click "Resignation Date" and enter the date the resignation letter was received. This date should be added if the employee has entered their resignation through Workday.
10 Make sure the "Close Position" check box is NOT checked. Do not close the position. Make sure the "Is this position available for overlap" box is checked.
11 Click "Select files" and upload the "Resignation Acceptance Letter"
12 Click "Submit"
13 Click "View Details" to see the details of the resignation
Terminating an Employee from a Resignation Request
14 To initiate the termination process, click on "Terminate: Employee Name." You can find this task on your Workday home page or by selecting "Tasks" in the top right corner.
15 Here you can see the details of the resignation.
16 Choose the appropriate option to approve, deny, or return the resignation for further action.
17 Click "View Details" to look over the details of the termination if approved.
