Be sure to check My Tasks (formerly Inbox) in Workday periodically as there may be items that require
your attention.
To check My Tasks, log in to your Workday account. You’ll see the My Tasks icon in the upper right
corner of your screen.
As an example, this user has sixteen (16) items that need their attention:
If an Expense Report or Spend Authorization is returned to you for correction or additional information,
you will find them in My Tasks.
To access the items, click on the My Tasks icon. Then, under All Items (found on the left hand panel) you
will see all tasks that require your attention.
Select a transaction to review. Details of what is required to correct will be found in the Process History
(scroll to the bottom of the transaction to see the full Process History).
Please correct either the Expense Report or Spend Authorization accordingly and resubmit for approval.
Some transactions may only require your approval as the Cost Center Manager, but please review the
transaction thoroughly before you approve and submit for further approvals. Approving without
thoroughly reviewing may result in the transaction being Sent Back causing a delay in processing.
