REQUISITIONS APPLICATION
The Workday Requisitions application enables you to easily create requisitions. You can check the status of recent open and completed requisitions and review downstream transactions. The application enhances the employee experience by giving users the ability to submit requisitions using all supported ordering methods while also providing visibility into the procure-to-pay process.
REQUISITIONING GOODS AND SERVICES
From the Home page:
1. Select the Menu button.
2. Select the Requisitions application.
3. In the Requisition Details card, select the Edit Details icon.
4. From Requisition Details, you can edit details related to your requisition, such as cost center, requisition type, ship-to address, and currency.
5. Once you have entered your requisition details, select Save.
REQUISITION ITEMS
From the Requisitions application:
1. In the Ordering Methods card, select Start Requisition
2. In the What do you need to order? section, enter a description of the item you want to requisition. This description is what the vendor sees and knows what the purchase order is for so please be as descriptive as possible and include item numbers if you have them.
3. In the What type of order is it? section, choose a spend category, and select whether you are requisitioning goods or a service.
4. In the What is the quantity and cost? section, enter the quantity, unit of measure, and price.
5. Other details to add section, you can add your supplier information and a memo. Note: this memo field does NOT print on the P.O. and is for internal use only.
6. Select Add to Cart, on the bottom left of your screen. The My Cart pop-up will appear in the upper-right corner under the View Cart icon.
7. Select Checkout.
8. Review the requisition information, attach the quote under Attachments, then select Submit. Your requisition displays on the Requisitions page under the Open tab.
EDITING INFORMATION
If you need to edit the information before you submit:
1. In the Checkout if you need to edit details such as type of requisition, ship to address or external/internal memos you choose the Edit More Details button in the Requisition Details card.
2. If you need to edit budget codes, supplier, quantity or price select the Edit More under the Actions.
