Must have security access to View Sign on History for User
If a student or employee is not able to login to workday, please view their Sign on History.
From the Workday Landing Page, Search for the student or employee in the main search bar.
Select the correct student or employee to view their profile
From their profile, select the Actions button under their name on the left hand side
Navigate down to Security Profile
Then select view Signon History for user
A pop up box will appear and enter dates to filter by date or leave blank to view full sign on history, and select OK.
This will populate a list of all sign on attempts
Please look at the following columns to investigate the possible reasons why:
Failed Signon
This will appear in the column Failed Signon as a Yes (this can be filtered to only include failed login attempts)
Account Locked, Disabled or Expired
This will indicate if the account is locked, disabled or expired as a Yes (this can be filtered to only include failed login attempts)
Authentication Failure Message
This will indicate why their authentication has failed
Authentication Type of Signon
This will indicate how they are authenticating their Workday account
If a user has no failed login attempts, the Failed Signon column will not appear as a column on the report.
