Solution :
FA1 : 50cc 4.00 Mol HCL 340cc concentrated HCl to 1 dm3
FA2 : 0.6 +/- 0.1g Small marble chips (apprx 2-4 mn ) provide 0.6-/+ 0.1g of CaCO3 in a stopped container
FA3 : 1.5 +/- 0.1g Magnesium carbonate provide 1.5 -/+0.1g of any powder form of MgCO3 or MgCO3(OH)2 in a stopper container
FA4 : 15cc 0.2 M potassium Iodide Dissolve 33.2g of KI in 1 dm3
FA5 : 15cc 0.2 M Sodium Thiosulfate Dissolve 49.6g of Na2S2O3 5H2O in 1dm3
FA6 : 10cc 0.2 M Calcium Chloride Dissolve 22.2 g of CaCl2 in 1dm3
FA7 : 10cc 0.5 Magnesium sulfate Dissolve 123.2g of MgSO4 7H2O in 1dm3
Aqueous chlorine 5 cc 0.2 M sodium Chlorate(I) (May be labbelled Sodium Hypochlorite) Dilute 200cc of 1.0 M of NAClO to 1dm3. This is approx 3 % w/w available chlorine from chlorine-bleaching solution (May be labelled sodium Hypochlorite) provide in a stopped container
Aqueous copper (II) sulfate 5 cc 0.2 M copper (II) sulfate Dissolve 49.9 g of CuSo4 5H2O in 1 dm3
Reagent (Under A level Cupboard Chem Prep.)
Dilute HCl 2.0 M
Dilute Nitric acid 2.0 M
Dilute Sulfuric acid 1.0 M
Aqueous sodium hydroxide 2.0 M
Barium nitrate (or Barium Chloride) 0.1 mol dm3
Lime-water Saturated
Silver Nitrate 0.05 mol dm3
Acidified 0.02 mol dm3 potassium manganate(VII) -> Dissolve 3.16g KMnO4 in 1 dm3 of solution. Each dm3 of solution should contain 250 cc of 1.0 mol dm3 H2SO4 (See A level chemical Form)
