Comparing the voltage of electrochemical cells : HazCard : 

• High resistance Voltmeter

• 3 X 100cc Beakers

• 2 X connective wires

• 2 X croc clips

• 3 X strips of filter paper 10cm X 1cm soaked with saturated Potassium nitrate solution

• Emery paper or sandpaper

• iron nails

• Zinc foil 6cm X 2cm

• Copper foil 6cm X 2cm

• 1.0Mol aqueous copper(II) sulfate 50cc

• 1.0Mol Aqueous zinc sulfate 50 cc

• 1.0Mol aqueous acidified iron(II) sulfate 50cc

  • • Dissolve 278g of Hydrated iron(II) sulphate in 200 cc sulfuric acid 1.0 M and add up to 1 L with distilled water (For 300ml 83.4g of Iron(II) sulphate, 60cc of Sulfuric acid 1.0 M, to 300ml with Distilled water). 100cc for class set. (200ml = 55.60 of Iron(II) sulphate, 40 Sulfuric Acid1.0M)
