Spotting tiles
Solid in 250ml beakers + spatula
Aluminium powder (On demand)
Magnesium powder
Copper powder (or turning)
Zinc powder cupboard 2
Iron filings powder (or turning)
Calcium (unlabelled) optional
Solution at 0.5M in 100 cc (or less) bottle with pipette
Magnesium sulphate (or nitrate)
Copper sulphate
Zinc sulphate (or nitrate)
Iron sulphate (II) to be made up fresh with Distilled water (Clean up bottle with oxalic acid)
For the displacement practical you can make it up in water and add couple of cm³ of H2SO4 0.1M(Or only 0.M H2SO4), its just enough to keep it from oxidising for a couple of days but not enough to give a noticeable reaction with the metals.
Aluminium sulphate (On demand)
Calcium nitrate (Unlabelled) Optional
All the powder in a 250ml beaker , display on a blue tray with spatula
with nitrate
Zinc metal cupboard 2 chem prp.
Iron sulphate (II) to be made up with Distilled water and just before the practical, if prepared in advance, add a little bit of sulfuric acid (lose the green colour when off) (Clean up bottle with oxalic acid)
