Sulfur dioxide solution

follow cleapss method one or method 2

method ONE can been done as pictured in fume :

• Sodium Sulfite (about 2 spatulas)

• Sulfuric acid 1.0 M

                place about 2 spatulas of of sodium sulfate into a conical cylinder.

 add  2/3 cm of Sulfuric acid, put the lead and tubing in place (tubing as to go in the water as show)

heat gently to collect the gas for a couple of minutes test acidity with UI paper .

remove tubing from water before stopping the heat to avoid suck back and rest to cool.
