Making Chlorine gas

quick John way to make gas personally for teacher demo use qiuck fix (See picture)

Use clamp for set up to secure the conical flask if teacher Demo it.

chlorine prep. about 1 spatula of potassium permanganate in conical flask and

 about 50cc of conc. HCl (in fume cupboard).

 Heat up gently to speed up gas production. Full gas jar colour greenish

Set up for Teacher Demo

                                                                                                                                                     fill  Half the volume of the Quick-fix fill with Conc HCl (about 25cc)

tubing for collecting chlorine gas and Glass bung to close the to of the apparatus (Con. HCl )
