Vapourising Iodine 

Equipment Required:

• Portable fume cupboard (CLEAPSS advice to limit inhalation of vapour)

• Round bottom flask (approx. 500ml) (1A1)

• Iodine granules (Chem)

• 2 x Clamp stands to hold flask and spectometer lead

• Digital spectometer with laptop

• Classroom power pack

• Compact light source + diffraction gratings

• Blow torch to heat flask (Chem)
