• 2 X boiling tubes and rack

• 250 cc Beaker

• Bunsen, mat, tripod, gauze

• Heat proof gloves

• Thermometer

• Stop-watch

• 4 X burettes and white tiles

• Funnels for burettes

• Gloves

Chemicals :

• Shared class burettes containing 0.020 M KMnO4 (Potassium permanganate ) about 50 cc per student

• Shared class burettes containing 0.060 M H2C2O4 (Oxalic acid  ) in 0.5 M H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) about 50 cc per student

  • • • The 0.060 M H2C2O4 in 0.5 M H2SO4 is made by dissolving solid Ethanedioic acid (0.06M) in 0.5 M H2SO4

(3.7821g of Oxalic acid up to 500ml with H2SO4)
