Newton's Second Law 

Equipment Required:

• Metal runways

• Trolleys

• Trolley masses

• Lightgates with pulley attachment

• Dataloggers

• 10g masses

• String/twine

Here are instructions for the data loggers (laptops are not required for this practical):

Data loggers:

• • Plug pulley into port 5:A

  • Select time and motion

  • Acceleration

  • Acceleration at A

  • 10 spoked pulley 47mm diameter (should be preset)

  • Release the trolley > start the recording > stop before it hits the ground

  • Record the acceleration (I think it's the top one)
