Sodium chlorate(I) (hypochlorite) solution about 1.0 M. The commercial solution sold described as10-14% available chlorine’ contains 100 000 - 140%000ppm of available chlorine; it has a concentration of 1.5M in terms of sodium chlorate(I).
0.5M aqueous iodine (Dissolve 127g of iodine and100g of Kl in Distilled water and make up to 1L) last minute 15.87g iodine and 12.50 KI. to 250cc distilled water
Starch solution (6cc) Make 2g of soluble starch into a paste with water. Add slowly to 1L of boiling water and boil for few minutes and cool.

Method 2: Preparing sulphur dioxide solution directly from sodium metabisulfite Use a fume cupboard. Wear splash proof goggles. Dissolve 9.5 g of sodium metabisulfite in 100 cm3 of water. Add 100 cm3 of 0.5 M sulfuric(VI) acid, then make up to 250 cm3 with water.
Disposal (Do not store the solution; dispose after use)!! Work in a fume cupboard. Pour residues unused solution into a bowl of cold water. Add pH indicator (Litmus or Universal) and then add 1 M sodium carbonate solution until the mixture is just alkaline. Rinse! used! glassware with sodium carbonate solution and add these washings to the bowl. Pour the contents of the bowl down the fume cupboard sink and flush away with plenty of water.
