• 8 X Test tubes

• 8 X rubber bungs

• Aqueous bromine (0.006mol/dm3)  (Fume cupboard)

• conical flask for waste Aqueous bromine water

• Gloves for bromine

• Dilute acidified potassium manganate(VII) add 5 cm3 of 1M sulfuric acid to 100cc of 0.1M potassium manganate(VII) solution

• Unknow hydrocarbons
