Step-by-Step Procedure
Measure the Water: Use a measuring cylinder to pour exactly 100 ml of water from your first water bath into a beaker.
Check Temperature: Place a thermometer in the beaker, record the exact starting temperature in your results table, and then remove the thermometer.
Drop and Time: Drop one sugar cube into the water and start the stopwatch immediately.
Stir Consistently: Stir the water gently and at a steady speed.
Stop the Clock: Stop the stopwatch the exact moment you can no longer see any solid sugar grains. Record the time in seconds.
Repeat: Wash out your beaker and repeat the steps using water from the other, hotter water baths.
