Equality Conferences

TUC Equality Conferences – sign up today

Each year the TUC run conferences for Black, disabled, LGBT+, women and young workers.

PCS Home Office Merseyside Branch Annual General Meeting 2021

This years' AGM will be held online in two sessions over 8 & 9 March. Members can join either session. Click here for details, how to join the sessions and how to submit nominations and motions.

Due to the ongoing impact of Covd-19, this year the conferences will take place entirely online, and for the first time, there is no limit to the number of attendees.

PCS members are therefore encouraged to sign up to this year’s TUC Equality Conferences (click here).

The LGBT+ Conference (25 - 26 February) and the Women’s Conference (3 - 5 March) are now online and sign-up is open. The remaining conferences will be added in due course. More information about each conference is available on the TUC website.

Attendees will be able to observe the debates on committee statements and to participate in smaller breakout events, workshops and fringes. (You d\o not need to attend for the full time).

The conferences are open to all union members who are represented by the conference equality strand (i.e. LGBT+ union members for the LGBT+ conference, women union members for the Women’s Conference etc.)

Members are encouraged to sign up at least two weeks before the start of each conference to ensure they receive the relevant information and to submit any access requests, although sign up will remain open until the day before each event.

The other conferences are:

  • Disabled Workers Conference (10 - 11 March)

  • Black Workers Conference (19 - 21 March)

  • Young Workers Conference (27 - 28 March)

As details for these are released the TUC website will be updated. Please check for details.

We encourage our members to take this opportunity to attend the TUC equality conferences, workshops and fringe events.
