PCS has sought clarification on the deadlines for the completion of PDRs in Home Office

COVID-19 Symptom Tracker

Self-report daily. Help slow the outbreak. Identify those at risk sooner.

Download the King's College London COVID-19 Symptom Tracker available from Google Play and the Apple App Store. Take 1 minute to self-report daily, even if you are well. Help scientists identify:

  • High-risk areas in the UK
  • Who is most at risk by better understanding symptoms linked to underlying health conditions
  • How fast the virus is spreading in your area

NB. Once downloaded you only need to register only once but you need to open it every day to provide your personal update, which takes seconds. However, the app is still in its' early stages and is sometimes unstable. If it crashes uninstall, reinstall, then log back in after which our experience is that it will usually work. There is no need to re-register.

The PCS Home Office Executive Committee (GEC) has received a number of queries regarding the deadlines for the completion of performance development reviews (PDRs) for the 2019 – 2020 reporting year. While it is preferable that PDRs are completed on time, the Home Office HR have confirmed that they have agreed business areas extensions of the deadline for the completion of PDRs and submission on Metis.

Deadlines are as follows:

C&R, DDAT, CPFG - 30 April (with some flexibility in exceptional circumstances)

BF, HMPO, UKVI, IE, OSCT, SOC, BICSPI and Comms - 30 June

It is now more important than ever that managers and their team members have regular conversations and that members are provided with ongoing support, guidance and feedback in relation to their performance as we respond to the challenges of COVID-19. If you are working from home, please use Skype or phone to hold your end of year reviews and 121s. PCS are aware that members may be feeling anxious and unsettled about the measures that the government has put in place to protect lives and managers should be alert to feelings of isolation and stress.
