Metis Go Live

Metis Go Live Advice To Members

PCS have been updated with the go live dates for the new Metis system. Below is some useful information for members.

Members will no doubt be aware that the Adelphi HR system is to be replaced with an expansion of Metis. This will incorporate the majority of the HR functions which currently appear on Adelphi such as absence, pay slips, security vetting etc.

The timetable for the closing of Adelphi and Metis go live is shown below but PCS wanted to ensure that members are aware of the change and are prepared for it.

It is important that all relevant information held on Adelphi is saved by members such as absence history, payslips, P60s, pension statements, leave balance, security vetting information along with any electronic documents such as posting notices and employment contracts which may be held on Adelphi. This will ensure that members are armed with information should they receive an overpayment notice, need to take special leave or hit a sickness absence trigger point. The information will allow you to ensure that your leave balances on Metis are also correct.

The saving of this information should be done as soon as possible as during the next month, areas of Adelphi will start to close, and the information is not available. Should members be on long term absence, maternity leave, or secondments, can members who may be friends or line managers ensure that they are made aware of this to enable them to make arrangements to save this data ahead of Adelphi close down dates.

The key dates are:

  • Monday 10 August is the deadline to submit completed NEN forms for new starters through GRS, to ensure payment in the next pay run
  • Monday 17 August is the pay-roll cut off for SSCL to enter any new starters onto the system
  • Monday 24 August is the cut-off for all Service requests to be approved and submitted on Adelphi by line managers and employees
  • From Monday 31 August onwards, employees and managers menu options will no longer be available to submit any self-service requests, including overtime & seasonal workers timecard entry
  • Monday 21 September is the deadline to submit Finance SRs, and the finance system will be unavailable from 24 September, until Go Live
  • From 28 September onwards, SSCL will accept new service requests and line managers will be able to submit self-service requests in Metis
  • Wednesday 7 October is the cut-off for employees to retrospectively enter pay-impacting transactions for inclusion in the October pay-run

Additionally, PCS have received assurances that as the system is only due to be non operational in one form or another for a couple of days that this will not affect pay or associated payments which are submitted by due dates.

Should you experience issues with the system, please engage your local branch and we will try and support them to resolve the issue.
