• What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?/¿Qué significa, para ti, ser una graduada universitaria de primera generación?

Being a first generation college graduate means my moms sacrifices weren't made in vain.

Ser un graduado universitario de primera generación significa que los sacrificios de mi madre no fueron en vano.

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD? /¿Cuál es tu momento de mayor orgullo durante tu tiempo en UC San Diego?

My proudest moment from UCSD is walking around campus and realizing I actually made it here.

Mi momento de mayor orgullo de UCSD es caminar por el campus y darme cuenta de que realmente llegué aquí.

• What advice do you have for current or future first-generation students?/¿Qué consejo le darías a los estudiantes actuales de primera generación?

There are a lot of first generation students supporting you, you are not alone.

Hay muchos estudiantes de primera generación apoyándote, no estás solo.

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?/¿Quiénes son las personas que han sido las más influyentes a lo largo de tu trayectoria universitaria (amigos, familia, comunidad, seres queridos)? ¿Hay algunas palabras de agradecimiento que te gustaría compartir con ellos?

I'd like to thank my mom and son who never let me give up on myself and kept me going when I felt like I couldn't do it.

Me gustaría agradecer a mi madre y a mi hijo que nunca me dejaron rendirme y me mantuvieron en marcha cuando sentí que no podía hacerlo.
