What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?
It means my parents successfully completed their goal of raising me to be better off than they were.
What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?
My proudest moment was when I competed in the MAE 3 robot competition and won against 150 other students without ever being defeated.
What advice do you have for current or future first-generation students?
Work hard and nothing is impossible.
Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
The person with the largest influence is my brother who I have everything to thank for.
Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?
The most influential staff member had to be Professor Oliver Schmidt. He really made learning fun and I'm so glad I could take his course.
What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?
I hope to build rockets that make it to the moon!
