Being a First-Generation College Graduate means stepping out of comfort zones, overcoming the life struggles, putting all the hard work to achieve great things and making our family proud.

ကျွန်မ အတွက် ပထမမျိုးဆက် တက္ကသိုလ် ဘွဲ့ရသူ တစ်ဦး ဖြစ်ရခြင်းဆို သည်မှာ ကျွန်မ ချစ်ရသောမိသားစု အတွက် ဂုဏ်ယူဝမ်းမြောက်စေရန် လည်းကောင်း၊ ဘဝ အခက်အခဲတိုင်း လက်မလျှော့ဘဲ တဆိုက်မတ်မတ် ဆက်လက် ကြိုးပမ်းခြင်းဖြင့် အောင်မြင်လမ်းကို လျှောက်လှမ်း ခြင်း အဓိပ္ပါယ် ကို ဖော်ပြပါတယ်။

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD? / UC San Diego တက်နေတဲ့ အချိန်တလျှောက်မှာသင့်အတွက်ဂုဏ်ယူစရာအကောင်းဆုံးအချိန်ကဘယ်အချိန် လဲ ။

Getting involved in campus activities and the moment I can proudly say I am a UCSD Alumni.

ကျောင်းအဖွဲ့အစည်း တွေမှာ ပါဝင်ခဲ့ရတဲ့ အချိန်တွေရယ် UCSD တက္ကသိုလ်ရဲ့ ကျောင်းသူဟောင်း လို့ ဂုဏ်ယူစွာ ပြောခွင့် ရှိတဲ့ အချိန်အခိုက် အတန့် လေး တွေပါ

• What advice do you have for current or future first-generation students? / လက်ရှိသို့မဟုတ်အနာဂတ်ပထမမျိုးဆက်ကျောင်းသားများအတွက်သင်ဘာအကြံဥာဏ် များပေးချင်သလဲ။

Always be proud of who you are, where you come from. Life can be challenging; but work hard and try your best. Take advantage of all the resources available on campus. Develop a networking relationship with people. There are people who are happy to help you.

၁) သင်မည်သူမည်ဝါဖြစ်ဖြစ် မည်သည့်နေရာမှလာလာ ကိုယ့် ဘဝနောက်ခံ ကို အမြဲတမ်းဂုဏ်ယူပါ။

၂) ဘဝ ဆိုသည်မှာ အခက်အခဲ စိန်ခေါ်မှု များ အမြဲရှိတတ်ပါတယ်။ သို့သော် အားမလျှော့ ဘဲ အကောင်းဆုံးကြိုးစားပါ။

၃) ကျောင်း မှာ ရရှိနိုင် သော ကျောင်း resources တွေကို အသုံးချပါ။

၄) လူအများ နဲ့ ပေါင်းသင်း ခြင်းနဲ့ သင့် လူမှုရေးကို ကျယ်ဖြန့်ပါ။

၅) အကူအညီလိုအပ် ရင် မကြောက်ဘဲ မေးမြန်းပါ။ သင့်ကို ကူညီမဲ့ သူတွေဟာ သင့်အနားမှာ အမြဲရှိ စမြဲပါ။

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them? / သင်၏ ကောလိပ်/တက္ကသိုလ် ကျောင်းတစ်လျှောက်လုံး မိသားစု၀င်များ၊ သူငယ်ချင်းများသို့မဟုတ်ချစ်ရသူများကားမည်သူများနည်း။ သူတို့နှင့်သင်မျှဝေလိုသည့်ကျေးဇူးတင်စကားများရှိပါသလား။

The most influential people throughout my college journey have been my parents and sisters. Without their continuous support and love, I would not be where I am today. I am also thankful to my friends for giving me great memories and for being my anchor.

ကျွန်မ ရဲ့ ဘဝ ခရီးတလျှောက်လုံးမှာ အမြဲ support ပေးသူတွေဖြစ်တဲ့ ကျွန်မ မိဘ နဲ့ အမ နှစ်ယောက် ကို ကျေးဇူး တင်လို့ ဆုံး မည် မဟုတ်ပါ

သူတို့ရဲ့စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ်ပံ့ပိုးမှုနဲ့ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာမရှိရင်ဒီနေ့ ဒီနေရာမှာ ကျွန်မဆိုသည်မှာ ရှိမှာ မဟုတ် ပါ ။

ကျွန်မ သူငယ်ချင်း အားလုံးကိုလဲ နွေးထွေးတဲ့ အမှတ်တရ များချန်ပေးခြင်း နဲ့ အမြဲ ဘေးမှာရှိနေပေးလို့ ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်။ တွေ့ဆုံခွင့်ရတဲ့ အတွက် လဲ ဝမ်းသာမဆုံး ပါဘူး။

• Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them? / ကောလိပ်/တက္ကသိုလ် တလျှောက်လုံးမှာ ပံ့ပိုး ပေး ခဲ့တဲ့ ဆရာဆရာမ များတို့နှင့်သင်မျှဝေလိုသည့်ကျေးဇူးတင်စကားများရှိပါသလား။

I am forever grateful for each and everyone I have met throughout my college life. You all taught me the understanding of community and academic context of education.

To all my professors at UCSD, Dean Grace, and my peer mentor Kimmy from Triton Transfer Hub: thank you for implementing the classroom interaction, and guiding me to a better direction.

To Dean Sherry, Dean Katie, and Director Dulce: thank you for your words of encouragement and your constant support throughout my hard times.
