Being a first-gen college graduate means making my family proud and creating opportunities for myself that my parents never had!

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD?

Graduating!

• What advice do you have for current or future first-generation students?

Never give up on trying to find the right support systems and resources for yourself. You got this!

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

I would never have made it to graduation without the amazing ERC advisors, Peper and Julie, as well as Lori from case managing. You all ROCK!

• What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?

After taking a year off of school, I'll be going back to get my teaching credential to teach high school English!
